Indian Head Massage is a complete treatment working on the shoulders, arms, neck, head and face. It is an exceptionally relaxing massage and can help to relieve tired and congested muscles in the shoulders and neck. Indian Head Massage is also good for mental fatigue.
The workshop will enable you to use Indian Head Massage with your friends and family. The cost per person for the two mornings is £45.

Would you like to learn to massage your partner with sensuous essential oils. The one day workshop is designed to enable you to learn about what oils can really relax and create a sensuous environment when used with simple massage techniques. By the end of the workshop you will be able to confidently give your partner a full body massage and also have a fun and relaxing day whilst learning some new skills.

Thursday 21st July. A 90 minute appointment at £32.50.
This fresh, new therapy at the Barbican Therapy centre is a two hour appointment. A restorative treatment with the application of hot and cold stones and massage. It will leave you feeling refreshed and energised.

We had a super day at the Barbican Therapy Centre on Saturday 23 June to raise money for Association Nepal, presented by Marion Beauregard the vice president of the charity. At the end of the day we raised £185 from an auction, donations and sales from some beautiful hand crafted jewelery from Nepal.

We raised £210 for the local charity Friends and Families situated in Virginia House in Plymouth, by taster sessions and an auction of treatments donated by the practitioners from the Barbican Therapy Centre.
The Barbican Therapy Centre will be offering free taster sessions in Indian Head Massage, neck and shoulder or hand massage. We will also be bringing along some gorgeous Neal's Yard products. Join us at the Guildhall on Sunday 30 October from 11am - 5pm.
Our Afrikids open day on Saturday 25 June 2011, went really well with some very good talks from the practitoners working from the centre. We raised just under £200 for Afrikids from an auction, with therapies donated from the practitoners, taster sessions and the sale of some gorgeous things from Afrikids and we still have some items left, so drop in and see if there is anything that takes your fancy. We have an amazing hand made weaved basket for £30, some cotton jim jams for men and some lovely cards. Watch this space for some pictures of the day!

The BARBICAN THERAPY CENTRE held an AmnesTEA Party last Saturday (19 March), hosted by Heather Morfett, in aid of the human rights organisation AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL. We would like to thank the therapists who gave talks on: Nutrition (Ali Trott), Mindfulness (Heather Rose), Alexander Technique (Sarah Mugan), Cognitive Hypnotherapy (Marc Craig), Sound Healing (Di Stewart) & Hormone Yoga (Diane Bohme), and thanks to Denise Andrew for those gorgeous pink cakes!
We would like to thank local traders who donated gifts for the auction: Peardrops the Jewellers, 4orty5ive art gallery, Sarah Halliday hand made jewelery, Marc Craig art work, and NU Yu.
Therapists also offered free treatments in Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Reiki.

On Friday 24th September, the Barbican Therapy Centre hosted the World's Biggest Coffee Morning in association with Shirley Valentine's Taverna to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We offered taster sessions in Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Traditional Thai Massage and Indian Head Massage. Guests received a free cuppa and took part in a raffle with great prizes!
All proceeds went to Macmillan Cancer Support and in total we raised around £160! A huge thank you for your support and to everybody who took part!
The Barbican Therapy Centre hosted an “AMNESTEA PARTY” in support of Amnesty International on Sat 27th Feb. Heather Morfett, who offers Integrative Counselling at the Barbican Therapy Centre is a supporter of Amnesty International and organised the event.
The centre was busy with people drinking tea to raise money to support human rights, enjoying free talks and therapy sessions, as well as the auction of quality products donated by local traders – thank you to: The Tudor Rose Tea Rooms, Vicky Sewart Jewellery, Sarah Haliday, Peardrops, The Terrace, Interior Heaven and Rockys Restaurant.
The day was a great success and we raised £200 – a big THANK YOU to everyone who took part!
It was a relaxing day with approximately 20 people attending. We offered taster sessions in Indian Head Massage, Aromatheraphy and Reflexology.
Heather Morfett, Mary Baker and Ali Trott raised £100 for the Huntington' s Chorea Charity. Well done to us and a big Thank You to the people who attended the day and gave their generous support. With thanks from the team at the Barbican Therapy Centre.
We had a great time at Quest offering treatments in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Tarot Readings. We met some some really nice folks and Heather, Beth and Ali were very very busy all weekend. We did have some time to enjoy some great live music in the evenings. A big Thank you to Pete and Lucy for all their help and to John and Al for putting up our lovely Moroccan tent. We are looking forward to next year.
The Mind Matters Day took place in Plymouth City Centre on the Piazza. We attended the event and were offering free taster sessions in Traditional Thai massage, Indian Head Massage and Shiatsu. It was a busy day for Ali, Nitch and Antje who were busy all day with taster sessions. We met lots of new people and received some very positive feedback. Quite a few people booked in for our Pamper Evening and Half Price Treatments day. Thank you to Nitch and Antje for taking part in the Mind Matters Event.
